a OVERVIEW

The Town of Halton Hills is located 40 kilometres west of Toronto, set amidst the picturesque rolling hills of the Niagara Escarpment. Halton Hills is predominantly rural however it does have two large urban centres in Georgetown and Acton. This municipality is also blessed with large tracts of conservation lands that provide numerous recreational opportunities for its residents.

 

Halton Hill’s largest employer’s include: Cooper Standard, Louisiana Pacific, Mould Masters, Neilson Dairy and Sheridan Nurseries. Sheridan Nurseries is one of the largest garden centre retailers in Canada. Sheridan Nurseries head office located in Georgetown, and their two Georgetown farms, plus their farm in Norval, together comprise an area of approximately 765 hectares.
